An Alzheimer’s Association sponsored caregivers Support Group meets at the Center every third Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm-7:30pm. This is open to the general public.  Call the Center at 716-652-4269 for more information.

“…Aurora Adult Day Services provides a good, clean, safe environment for its adult day care participants.  The staff shows exemplary care and concern toward the clients…” This statement is from the recent survey report from Erie County Senior Services.  We are grateful to all our staff for the wonderful care provided to our clients.

We have great news! The Board of Directors is very pleased to announce that a $23,300 grant has been received from the John R. Oishei Foundation to support the “Monday Outreach” expansion of services from four days/week to five days/week, including Mondays.

“The John R. Oishei Foundation strives to be a catalyst for change to enhance economic vitality and the quality of life for the Buffalo Niagara region.  The Foundation was established in 1940 by John R. Oishei, founder of Trico Products Corporation.”

It has been a long term goal of the Board of Directors to provide services Monday through Friday and they are very grateful to the John R. Oishei Foundation for the financial support to do so. A Limited incentive offer to attend on Mondays is now available.  Please call 716-652-4269 for details.

Our agency is truly fortunate to have many wonderful dedicated volunteers who support our program and add to the quality of life for our clients.  The Board of Directors will be honoring all volunteers at a picnic on August 16, 2010, 5:30 pm at the Center.

We are seeking caring persons to help provide transportation for some of our clients who have no other way to attend our program.  If you are interested in driving for AADS, please call 716-652-4269.
